updating, schmupdating

I haven't been updating because most of the highlights/lowlights of my life lately have either involved work or family, and I'm trying not to write about either of those here.

Fuck it.

Work:
I'm attempting to craft a personal Zen approach to the job. I guess it would work better if I meditated more. I have been working out regularly-ish, so that seems to help, occasionally. I got a promotion. Yay! I also got a crapload more to do.

Family:
The motherload went missing after blowing off the family get together in Louisville. Then she was found. Apparently the cell fell into dirt and died. In south Louisiana. Not at home sick as initially reported.

And...I'm going to be an auntie! Yay! My sister is not finding out the sex of the baby, nor is she revealing the names she has chosen. I find this annoying. Especially when we have to keep calling the baby "it". It's due the day before my Dad's birthday, isn't that sweet? I'm really excited about being an aunt. Although, I've already been asked to babysit, and that's not really one of my strong points.
